David is a
well-known photographer and journalist who has spent decades documenting
and defending the rights of working people in the United States
and Latin America. David has accompanied CRLA community workers
throughout California documenting not only the hardships, but also the
proud cultures of the tens of thousands of people who harvest the food
for our plates.
David Bacon is the
author of The Children of NAFTA (California) and Communities Without
Borders (Cornell University/ILR Press), a photodocumentary on
transnational communities. David has written for The Nation Magazine,
The Progressive, and Z Magazine, among others. David appears weekly on
KPFA in the Bay Area. David's photo exhibit "Living Under the Trees" is
currently touring California.
