Thank you for your interest in helping us achieve our goals. The success of the Agricultural Worker Health Project (AWHP) depends on contributions from individuals like you. There are numerous ways in which you can contribute. Here are a few ideas:

  • Donate money We provide free legal assistance to qualified low-income farm workers who have been exploited on their jobs or in their homes. Our clients come from communities which are under-served by the legal community and they have nowhere else to turn for assistance. Your financial donations help us provide more legal assistance to these individuals, ultimately ensuring their right to legal representation. You can donate money to AWHP by contacting Michael Courville at mcourville@crla.org or by calling (415) 777-2752 x 338.

  • Donate time Volunteerism is another crucial component of our success. We encourage attorneys, law students, college students, retired people, or anyone interested, to donate their services. We offer many rewarding opportunities for volunteers! Please contact the office nearest you to see what volunteer opportunities are available.

  • Help get the word out Please help us educate the public about the plight of farm workers. If you belong to an organization, school, or church, temple, synagogue, or mosque that has a newsletter, consider using the information contained on our website to write an article educating your membership about the health and safety problems facing farm workers. If you work with farm workers or their families, consider inviting an AWHP advocate to speak to your group.
